- Acquire data on scenic spots for releasing items that contain scenic spot elements

Universal item maintenance interfaces are divided into new item release and existing item modification: New Item Release Interface and Existing Item Modification Interface. These two interfaces are responsible for maintaining base information about items (excluding price and availability).

Post base information about items (excluding price and availability). Once information has been successfully posted, the item will be in stock but cannot be sold yet by default

Links to primary and secondary pictures of an item can be redirected to external links and pictures in a Taobao user space; that is, picture links in merchant’s system can be directly used as picture links in pic_urls field in the interface (an accessible external network is required). Pictures from these external links will be automatically downloaded and uploaded to the Taobao user picture space during item release. If upload of a certain externally-linked picture fails, the picture will be left out during item release. Special note: if the primary pictures of an item (the first element in pic_urls of base_info) fail to be uploaded, item release will fail; if the secondary pictures fail to be uploaded, the secondary pictures will be automatically left out.
- Complete valid calendar price and availability information of an item. Before calendar price and availability information of an item is completed, the item cannot be launched
- When an item is in stock and can be sold by default, the interface can be invoked to launch the item
